INTELSIM

Analytical Training Platform

IntelSimDon't just teach students.
Build critical thinkers.

Teams work scenario-based exercises using structured analytic techniques. They analyze primary source materials, build competing hypotheses under time pressure, brief a decision-maker who responds in character, and receive a scored rubric debrief tied to real analytical standards.

01

Teams Analyze

Participants work through a scenario using primary source materials and apply structured analytic techniques under time pressure. Documents vary by scenario and may include field reports, financial records, historical cables, or custom-built source sets.

02

Brief the Decision-Maker

Teams submit their assessment to a scenario-specific decision-maker who responds in character. Historical personas draw on real documents, speeches, and writings. Fictional personas are purpose-built around the learning objectives of the exercise.

03

Scored Debrief

Each team receives a rubric-based debrief scored against an expert benchmark. Criteria are specific to the simulation and the analytic techniques it exercises.

Every phase. One coherent exercise.

DOCUMENT ROOM

Primary source materials with credibility ratings and source context. Teams build their analysis from the ground up, evaluating what each document can and cannot tell them.

STAKEHOLDER RESPONSE

Teams brief a scenario-specific decision-maker who responds in character, pressing weak reasoning and rewarding precise, well-supported conclusions. The exchange reflects the real pressure of briefing a senior stakeholder.

ANALYTICAL DEBRIEF

Every submission is scored against a structured expert rubric. Participants see exactly where their analysis succeeded and where it fell short, with criteria tied to the specific techniques the simulation exercises.

NATIONAL SECURITY

Mafia Mayhem

A powerful organized crime family is in internal crisis. Serious tensions have developed between the family's leadership and a rival crew within the organization - driven by policy disputes that threaten millions in annual revenue and a recent shift in the family's power structure that has removed the one figure capable of keeping the peace. Working through three rounds of intelligence reports spanning HUMINT, SIGINT, physical surveillance, and financial intelligence, your team will apply structured analytical techniques to assess the threat landscape, identify the most probable actors, and test the assumptions underlying your analysis.
